I am still thinking about the holiday windows at Bergdorf Goodman, even after six weeks and lots of Christmas craziness. I so wish it had not been so cold and crowded - I could have stood for hours taking in all the fabulous detail.

I was reminded again today how pretty an all white room can be. As much as I love color, I am the first to admit that lots of white on white, with great texture and form, can be stunning. So, at the risk of being redundant, and I know the official holiday season is over.............I just had to share some of these photos. If you want to really see amazing detail, click on the photos to enlarge. Enjoy!

The theme was seasons and this window was especially beautiful with all of the "under the sea" objects..........

ReplyDeletethose windows are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the landscaping in the header pic on your blog. We too have a limerock home that is 100 yrs old on a farm in Florida. I would love to emulate some of your landscaping ideas for our home. Do you have any larger or other views available? I would be most happy to include my email if you would like to do this a little more privately. Thank you, Cydney
ReplyDeleteThank you Cydney. I would love to see a 100 year old rock house in Florida! Is that common for your area or unique? You can email me at annw1953@gmail.com. I am happy to show you more photos!
ReplyDeleteLove those pics - how magical and enchanting! I left an award for you over at my blog... stop by and pick it up when you can!

Thank you for posting these! There is a blogger somewhere (!) who posted a video done by a NYC journalist of several NYC store windows (including BG). I was so happy to see your photos since I can't find the amazing video again.
ReplyDeleteI wish I got to see it in person, oh well. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! One of my favorite holiday specials is the one on HGTV that shows the holiday windows at high-end department stores. I've yet to see one of those displays in person, but that's on my wish list.
ReplyDeleteI love the photos you have of the Bergorf windows. I could look at them year round, and year after year.
ReplyDeleteHow great that you got to see them in person!
As an ex New Yorker I loved the annual ritual of going to see Bergforf's Christmas windows, and this year you have made that possible for me from a French settee in New Orleans!
Thanks!

PS I like your vision for your blog.
Visual Vamp - Glad you enjoyed the photos. I am going to try to post a link to another site that does a really good job of "narrating" them. You are too kind.......what exactly is my vision?!! I always think I am off the wall and not focused.I just feature things I love.
