LOVE your living room, so colorful, so much fun, so you! Makes me feel happy looking at it. You really have some fabulous art. Wonderful room. I want to go to texas and see your wonderful town and your house!
Oh, that makes me smile. I like both the gussied up living room and your "minimalist" living room, too. I am so not a minimalist. Although I sure do relax in simpler environments.
my favorite style of decorating is a highly eclectic mix of patterns.. just as you have done in your living room. I ordered a blue and white striped druhrie a few months ago. After seeing your room I am motivated to roll out that new rug.
LOVE this! I'm not a minimalist. I've tried but it didn't work out for me. I always have to add just a little something more~I'm tired of seeing all these rooms that are all white or gray and lacking of color and, well, neat stuff!
carolina's apt is one of my all time favorites - and yours looks great too! so different - love it. just went to your etsy store to buy the HP book tin but i see it sold, figures. how much was it? maybe i don't want to know!!
Your living room is much prettier! It's warmer, more inviting, and more natural...in short, it looks more like a real living room. Your colors and the scale of your pieces just work so well together. And I love the new fabrics. Red? I'm trying to get my nerve up to buy a less traditional sofa with fun new fabric for Gene's living room. Haven't told him about it yet, though!
Well, great minds think alike you know. I'm in love with your art!

I love that painting hanging on the right on that cupboard/armoire. Any chance you have a closeup of that somewhere in your blog?

The comparison of the two rooms brings a smile and makes me think of the title to the Dan Fogelberg album, "Twin Sons of Different Mothers."
ReplyDeleteI love all of those rooms. And your home!!
