Tropical Wedding Bouquet

Anna of Absolutely Beautiful Things inspired me to share this photo with you. She has some lovely bouquet shots on her recent blog posts.

It has been a wild month here at hill country house with no time for posting. The highlight of the past weeks, however, was a trip to Costa Rica for a dear friend's wedding. It was the stuff of dreams; full of fabulous food, fun, laughter, good conversation, all climaxing with a beautiful wedding on the beach at sunset last Saturday evening.

The Four Seasons on Papagayo Peninsula did a glorious job of making the arrangements and taking care of our group of 45 for three absolutely perfect days. My daughter articulated it perfectly when she said "Mommy, you know we really did live a fantasy for three days". Re-entry into real life has been a challenge this week!

Here is the bouquet that my friend carried as she walked through the trees to meet her husband to be under an arch covered entirely of more tropical flowers. Exquisite.

  4. Wow...that is a lovely bouquet...I love weddings...and flowers are one of my favorite parts of weddings...I will be working on a couple of weddings this year...mainly florals and decorating for a couple of gals I know through friends...in between working on the house. I have lightened my wedding load this year to concentrate on the building of our home...but I could not say no to a couple of sweet gals I have known for years.

It is so funny that you mentioned going to Cost Rica...I am taking my girls (my daughter and Daughter-in-law) on a "ladies only" retreat there this summer...we've already started planning...but if you have any "Must" places to go...let me know...I'm always open for new things.

Glad to see you post again, how are things in HILL COUNTRY? My daughter is heading in from Colorado to attend a wedding with her husband in Austin at some place on Lake Buchanan...called "Eagle" ???something...I failed to remember the name...it looks gorgeous...I am anxious to see pics and hear all about it. She has been complaining that in Colorado she hasn't been able to experience much of a spring as of yet...I told her not to worry...she will have plenty of heat in Austin this weekend b/c projected temps are suppose to be in the low 90's...talk about a shock to the system...with that high of temps and the humidity level...I'm NEVER going to get her to move back to Texas.

    Blessings....and have a wonderful week.

  5. I just wanted to leave you a quick note to tell you how much I'm enjoying your blog!! I live in the DFW area (which is not nearly as pretty as the Hill Country!!) and it's so nice to see other Texan's blogs.
I'm in the trade field and love all things design related. And like you, I often get the urge to re-arrange and re-decorate, which drives my fiancee crazy!

    Have a great week!
