Nashville Bound

Starting the day with coffee at Fido, a great coffee shop near the Vanderbilt campus.

This week I will be in Nashville helping my baby girl pack up after completing her sophomore year in college! I do not know where the time has gone!

One of my favorite stops whenever I have the chance to visit her is a wonderful shop that reminds me so much of places I loved when I was in college in Austin. The area between two colleges, Vanderbilt and Belmont, called Hillsboro Village, is home to Pangaea. It is a great shop,
chock full of imported clothing, pottery, textiles, home goods, and jewelry.

Mexican tin, Indian bedspreads, table cloths and shower curtains, lamps, funky T - shirts, skirts,a little something for everyone!

Shoppers include students, faculty, visiting parents, as well as locals, looking for gifts or that something exotic or colorful to brighten their homes.

Of course, I was thrilled to find they carry a few pieces of my favorite Mexican pottery by Gorky Gonzales of Guanajuato, Mexico.

Day of the Dead folk figures...........

.......cards, a few toys, bibs, purses...............

just a ton of fun items !

and a great selection of folky pillows. Next time you are in Nashville, visit Pangaea - you won't be disappointed!

  2. Did you stop at Pancake Pantry? Hope so! That was one of my favorite places right by Pangaea. What a great store. I am going to stop in when I am back on campus in the fall!

  3. Ann,
I love your blog!! And I love the pictures. You have amazing taste and you're breathtakingly beautiful. Of all the blogs I know of, yours is absolutely my favorite. My guess is that you must have amazing friends as well.

  5. Thanks for stopping by. The client of the bedroom is a joy to work for, just does'nt want to spend a lot. But I was told to keep it girlie and then just turned loose. I like that! She came home to a finished guest room filled with things that meant a lot to her. We were both happy with the results. Thanks for visiting. I wish I could see the room you told us about...
