More Great Texas Modern

Just a few more great looking Texas houses.

I do not know these houses personally. They are designed by McKinney Architects in Austin.

Besides being a shelter magazine addict, I also scour architectural websites when I have time.

If you live in Texas, you know how nice this pool would feel right now!

To learn more about this firm and their work go here.

  1. Love the house in the top photo! And the one with the pool- yum! We could use one today, as it's supposed to be 90 here!

  2. My parents both grew up in Texas and I spent almost every summer with my grandparents. I can remember going to Girl Scout camp outside of Dallas when I was about 12....I never knew anyplace could get so hot!
Love the stone in these pictures!

  3. hello! i like the new look of your blog! it seems you are now back in texas, just as i am taking off for school in switzerland! i will look forward to catching up on your posts when i get back!

  4. * If you're a lover of stone, there's nothing like that beautiful Texas stone... simple... elegantly casual... faaaabulous!!! Thanks!

  5. What a gorgeous house - I'd love to see what it looks like inside! Lee :)

  6. That glass/iron so AMAZINGLY lit entryway makes me want to faint! Thanks for sharing!

  7. Love, love, love these houses! I would have a hard time choosing a favorite. Our goal is to buy some property with a view and hopefully build for retirement. Because of the current economic situation we are interested in getting "the look" on a smaller, more economical, scale.

For inspiration, we try to make the Hill Country Parade of Homes in the Kerrville area each year b/c they have such great houses to tour. Also, we like to attend similar events in Austin and San Antonio...love them!!
